Constellation has agreed to a transition period through the summer months and will charge customers on the aggregation program a guaranteed rate of 7.145 cents/kWh or the comparable ComEd rate, whichever is lower, with no monthly customer charge.
The City of Chicago pulled the plug on the aggregation program with Constellation Energy (formerly Integrys Energy) and opened the door to letting its approximately 700,000 residents who participated in the program choose their own electricity supplier.
